Where did you get the idea to open a new shop?

We wanted to be able to display everything we distribute to other stores in one physical space. And we wanted to show that www.Dark-ink.com was more than just online.

Which products are sold in the shop?

We are the exclusive distributor of Mister S leather in France. It comes from San Francisco and we specialise in their amazing neoprene. We also sell 665 leather and Rough Trade neoprene, both from Los Angeles.
The first floor of the store is dedicated to neoprene, something that is unique in Europe. At street level we have the largest selection of Oxballs in Europe.
We also carry some lubes including Fistpowder, Mister B and Swiss Navy, as well as plenty of unique toys made in France and the US.

In this time of online sales, why have you chosen to open a regular shop as well?

To maximise the comfort of neoprene, T-shirts and fetish gear you need to try them on.
The shop also offers cruising, what is there to see?
Our cruising area has been one of the most popular in Paris for 18 years now. It’s largely because of its location close to Les Halles, one of the main metro stations in Paris. Our customers are not very fond of going to the Marais gay ghetto.
Between September and December 2015 we’ve totally revamped the cruising area. It’s all new, but we succeeded in keeping the old raunchy flavour of the underground.

What is the difference between your cruising area and others in Paris?

We have cabins where you can watch movies, have sex, and interact with the cabins around you if you wish.
Every cabin has its own identity and special trick. There are many glory holes and decorations linked to the Metro. We’ve also used traditional Parisian Metro tiles, though in red and blue instead of white.
We are open from 10.00 to 24.00, seven days a week. The cruising area starts to get busy at 10.00. Follow us on Facebook to keep up with Boxxman – so many things are happening every week.
